Graphic card crashing, suspecting if dvi-to-vga adapter is causing the problem or not...?

i have a graphic card HIS 3650 agp with have 2 dvi port and s-video port. it start crashing very often recently. so, i am suspecting if the dvi-vga adapter is causing the problem, since dvi only support 60hz refresh rate while i set my computer refresh rate to 75hz. cant set my refresh lower than that since i am using a crt monitor which will flicker if set below 75hz. can anyone tell me???|||The adapter and the issue you mention is not likely to be the problem. When you use a DVI-VGA adapter, then you're not using the DVI digital port; you're using an analog port just as if it were a regular VGA plug. It won't be limited to DVI specs.

If it's crashing, then you need to investigate possible causes such as heat (is the fan on it working okay?), driver or OS issues (try looking for updates), or other issues. You might try booting to a Live Linux CD and using that for a bit to rule out any hardware issues.
